He most recently served as Treasurer of the Board of Trustees.

“Bo was iconic and made numerous and meaningful contributions to Roberson Museum, as a Trustee and as a lifelong supporter of a community treasure which he held dear to his heart,” said Mark Gorgos, President of Roberson Museum’s Board of Trustees.

Bo’s dedication to Roberson Museum was just a portion of a storied life full of volunteerism and leadership at numerous nonprofits including The Roberson Foundation, the Muscarelle Museum of Art, The Muscarelle Museum of Art Foundation, the Cypher Society of the College of William & Mary, the Golf Museum, the Virginia War Museum, the Virginia Living Museum, the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum, George Washington’s Mount Vernon National Shrine, Hampton Roads Academy, and the Williamsburg Area Arts Commission.

Michael Grasso, Executive Director of Roberson shared: “Bo could be earnest, funny, and extraordinarily knowledgeable, all in the same sentence.  He took his role as Treasurer very seriously, and our Board was stronger for it.  He will be deeply missed. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Roberson family.”

A lover of history and the arts, Bo shared fond memories of playing in Roberson Mansion as a child while visiting his cousin Margaret, whom he remembered as warm and friendly.
