Eldred

Explore the Work of Binghamton Native Charles Eldred

Opens: Spring 2023

Binghamton-born Artist Charles Eldred was an Associate Professor of Art at the State University of New York at Binghamton. An important element of his work, both in sculpture and drawing, was the interweaving of seemingly incompatible elements.
The sculptures feature brass or bronze faucets, nozzles, propellors and other objects, removed from their normal context and spun into a fantastic world of the artist’s invention.
