New Exhibition: Out of Many – Stories of Migration

March 27, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Out of Many by Lynn johnson

Roberson Museum and Science Center is pleased to host Out of Many – Stories of Migration. This special photography series centers around the rather timely topics of immigration and migration, bringing faces and scenes to match stories found within the Pittsburgh area. These stories aren’t entirely dissimilar to those found in the Binghamton area.

It’s about people discovering their sense of identity and what it means to be American.

The premise of the exhibition is “We all come from somewhere.”

Photographs on display by Brian Cohen, Scott Goldsmith, Nate Guidry, Lynn Johnson, and Annie O’Neill.

Admission is $8 for adults; $6 for students, senior, and military; Free for Members.

Croatian Home by Brian Cohen

“Individually, each building represents in part a community’s effort to assert its adopted American identity, while retaining its particular sense of self, be it radical, religious, ethnic, or otherwise,” writes Brian Cohen. Croatian Center by Brian Cohen
