Roberson to Celebrate Emergency Responders During September Soiree Event

Roberson Museum and Science Center is hosting its 3rd Annual September Soiree as planned on Thursday, September 22.

In the aftermath of last week’s devastating flood, Roberson will utilize the event as an opportunity to honor and thank our area’s first responders for their tremendous efforts during the flood.

Roberson will be offering free admission for emergency responders to the September Soiree.  For members of the public who wish to be part of this positive celebration and to thank local emergency crews, Roberson will continue selling general admission tickets for $40.

The September Soiree will be Roberson’s first event featuring the newly restored Roberson Mansion Ballroom.  The night includes fine wine and food pairing, entertainment, a sneak peek at Roberson’s new digital planetarium and a photo booth.

Tickets are available for purchase at www.roberson.org or by calling 772-0660.  Emergency responders who plan to attend will be asked to reserve their tickets in advance by calling, or visiting the museum in person.

Support provided by the general operations support grants from the United Cultural Fund, a program of the Broome County Arts Council; the Conrad and Virginia Klee Foundation; the Zoos, Botanical Gardens and Aquariums Program, administered by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreational, and Historical Preservation; and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
