In this crash course, we’ll learn how to begin planning a convention that engages the community and brings geeks together.
Conventions are a powerful way to unite and bring people together. It can be a day or weekend that allows people to geek out over shared passions of Dr. Who, Dungeons and Dragons, and more. Join con planner, Nat Shoemaker, in learning the art of bringing geeks together. Through this presentation, Nat will share some of their experiences, resources, and thoughts on how to approach and plan a successful convention.
There will be time at the end of the presentation for Q&A.

About the Presenter
Nat Shoemaker has been coordinating major fundraising events for Roberson Museum and Science Center and other organizations for more than 5 years. They love finding opportunities to bring unique communities together through shared experiences. Throughout their career in event planning they have been instrumental in organizing RoberCon and other fan conventions–both in-person and online.
